What changes does the introduction of the Pharmacy Act 2010 have on pharmacists in WA?
The Council is no longer the authority which registers pharmacies. Instead, pharmacies are registered by the Pharmacy Registration Board of Western Australia. That Board’s website is available at www.pharmacyboardwa.com.au but interim contacts are listed in the diagram above.
Pharmacists from other States are permitted to own pharmacies in Western Australia and the maximum number of pharmacies in which a pharmacist may hold a proprietory interest in WA is four.
