Profile

The Pharmaceutical Council of Western Australia has two distinct roles :

Firstly, it is the Statutory body which administers the Pharmacy Act. It is therefore the regulating body controlling the practice of the profession and registration of pharmacists and pharmacies in Western Australia.

Secondly, it is the body which, by legislation, manages the Pharmaceutical Society of Western Australia. This is the professional society of which every pharmacist in the State is a member. The Council is therefore the peak body representing the profession of pharmacy and its practitioners in Western Australia.
